We found out that Walgreens accepts payments using Apple Pay when making purchases in-store, on the Walgreens app, and on their website.
Though there are certain online products you cannot purchase with Apple Pay such as Photo products.
You can even get a three percent cashback when making payments with your Apple Card.
How To Use Apple Pay At Walgreens?
Making purchases at Walgreens using Apple Pay is very simple and convenient.
First, you will need an iPhone (any of the models from the iPhone 6 on-wards are compatible).
Then, you will have to set up your Apple Pay account and add your debit or credit card details.

Once that is done, using your Apple Pay to make purchases in Walgreens stores is quite easy.
At the counter, simply hold your phone close to the reader, while keeping your fingers on your iPhone’s Touch ID sensor (this is an added level of security), and wait for the payment to be approved.
Can You Use Apple Pay at Walgreens Online?
Yes, using your Apple Pay for online purchases at Walgreens can also be done on their website.
Once you have selected the items you want to purchase online, proceed to checkout, and select the “Apple Pay” option to complete the transaction.
Simply confirm the address where the products will be delivered, and the card you wish to use.
When all of that is done, you can then authorize the transaction through Face ID or Touch, whichever is enabled.
Can You Redeem Walgreens Balance Rewards With Apple Pay?
To make use of your Balance Rewards when using Apple Pay, go to your Walgreens app and select the Balance Rewards card, then simply tap on “Add to Apple Wallet”.
On top of being able to redeem your points along with payments through Apple Pay, you can also earn points when making eligible purchases in Walgreens stores.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Choose your Balance Rewards card and link it with Apple Pay (this may require you to authorize it with Touch or Face ID)
- Simply tap your phone near the reader and use your available Balance Rewards
- If the reader prompts you to scan the sensor again, follow the on-screen instructions
Can You Get Cash Back At Walgreens With Apple Pay?
Getting cashback when using Apple Pay on your Walgreens purchases is possible.
You can earn up to three percent of your total bill amount as cashback when using Apple Pay on checkout.
There is no cap on the total bill amount to which the 3% cashback will apply, and also no limits as to how frequently you use Apple Pay as the payment option.
