There are several instances, owners of AirPods have reported having this issue; some claim to have been dealing with it for years!
Fortunately, there is a quick remedy that should take care of most issues, with one AirPod sounding better than the other.
One AirPod is louder than the second. Why?
Your headphones’ speaker is covered in a layer made of cerumen, grime, and body sweat that makes one your Air Podslouder than the other.
If you gently clean the insides of your AirPods with a hygienic toothbrush or probably Q-Tip, they will become louder almost immediately.
Your AirPods’ volume substantially decreases when cerumen and dust build up inside.

Clean AirPods and Charging Ports
