Should You Use Apple Pay at Starbucks?
If you use Apple Pay elsewhere and are comfortable with it as a payment method, there’s really no reason not to use Apple Pay at Starbucks, too.
The one argument not to use Apple Pay at Starbucks could be that using the Starbucks app is a little more convenient since you just need to scan once to pay and collect your rewards points.
The rewards points add up so quickly and earn you lots of free stuff.
Even if you like to just scan your Starbucks app to pay for your drinks and snacks, you can still take advantage of the benefits of Apple Pay, because you can use Apple Pay as a payment method to fund your Starbucks balance, then use your balance to pay in-store.

If you want to use Apple Pay to load up your Starbucks balance, first you’ll need to set up your Apple Wallet and you’ll also need to download the Starbucks app. From within the Starbucks app, place an order for a gift card / to load a balance, and then select Apple Pay as your payment option.
